Hardware And System Programming Details Dedicated Server We provide a dedicated server located at our facility that will handle your present airline at no cost to your airline. We can provide, optionally, a mirror backup server for an additional US$300.00 per month. This backup server is located in a second facility, on a separate electrical power grid and separate connections to the Internet. This mirror backup can be a server provided by you at your location. In this case there is no cost to your airline for the backup server. There is an increase in the monthly maintenance charge of US$100.00 per month to cover the maintenance of the mirrored server at your location. Our dedicated servers are connected to the Internet, so there are no network connection or monthly charges for the Internet. No installation/start-up/discontinue/maintenance fees. Upgrade to large size server. There is no upgrade or installation charges but the airline will be responsible for the cost of the additional hardware. Our facilities where our dedicated servers are located have the following characteristics: Secure Facilities Two separate external power grids Auxiliary Power Generator Connection to the Internet with +10GB bandwidth Connections to the Internet with three separate Internet backbone providers: qwe.net, bro.net and pbi2.net 365/24/7 available, live person, support Automatic system back-ups each 24 hours Reservation data (passengers, reservations, etc. is automatically mirrored to a separate server on a real time basis. This data is retained for 48 hours. A complete system restore is accomplished by: Restoring the system applications which includes reservation data. This is done using the 24 hour system backup. Merge mirrored reservation data using the real time reservation data backup This will bring the system back to when it failed with no application or data loss. At your request we will supply you with a list of customers that presently utilize our dedicated servers. Client Terminals (Remote and Local) We recommend a DSL connection for your remote and local terminals. Any Personal computer connected to the Internet that has an Internet browser installed is sufficient for terminals. The airline is responsible for purchasing and installing the client terminals, printers and scanners. We can provide recommendations for these if you want us to. Reservation Server System Programming We supply at no cost to you all of the required system programing. The system programing used is: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Apache Tomcat Linux SDK mySQL We will install the latest version of all the system programming as required.
